So there seems to be this complete insanity that's perpetuated by the gay community that if you colour everything purple, it will raise some sort of awareness.

Now while I can see how this might work in principle, It's actually completely pointless and rather pathetic.

I understand how it came about, it's because some dumb shits decided that their life was worth nothing, and thew it all away because they were outed, or teased because they were gay. And I can see why anyone would see their life as not worth living if they have to deal with being taunted. But all this horseshit is over taunts being made over the internet.

The whole point of the campaign is "it gets better", but in all fairness, I'm seeing it as natural selection, because in a world that's dominated by everything being connected to the internet, the younger generations seem completely unable to turn the computer off, and walk away.

Some of you might assume I'm against the LGBT community, but I'm not, I'm actually gay myself, so that point is invalid.

Others may say I'm a "cyberbully" because of my track record on calling people out on copyright theft.
Some of you may even claim that I've never suffered from bullying and have lived a privileged life.

So, sure, colour everything purple, to raise "awareness", make yourself look like an imbecile, but if you really want to raise awareness, actually do something that isn't some puce token that does absolutely nothing.

Do something that isn't a fad, do something like getting out there and raising real awareness, instead of perpetuating the crclejerk that is the online LGBT community.
